Firms Start Paying Brokers Their Deferred Compensation to Switch Firms
In what has been called "an almost unheard-of step", some brokerage firms are unlocking reps' golden handcuffs to entice them to switch brokerage firms. Firms especially are interested in big producers with clean compliance records.
That is, some firms are reimbursing brokers the net difference of their deferred-compensation packages.
