Smith Barney Suit for Female Gender Discrimination Seeks Class Certification
The lawsuit claims that Smith Barney engaged in a pattern and practice of gender discrimination against female financial consultants, in terms of account distributions, sales support, compensation, and other terms and conditions of employment throughout the company.
The action comes after the infamous "boom-boom room case" which Smith Barney settled in 1998 for millions of dollars.
