Illinois Adviser Conwell Admits Defrauding Investors
Investment adviser Thomas Conwell of Lake Bluff has admitted that he misappropriated more than $800,000 from customers to keep his business operating. He also lied to banks and lied to impede an SEC investigation.
Conwell pleaded guilty without reaching a plea deal.
