IRS Carries Out Massive Investigation Into Illegal Offshore Trusts
About 300 IRS agents are involved in what the IRS describes to be the largest enforcement action to date. The target: offshore trusts that allow wealthy individuals to park money and receive income from it, tax-free.
So far, six individuals associated with Anderson Ark & Associates have been arrested in Boston. The IRS also is seeking records regarding other entities and individuals, including the Institute of Global Prosperity.
