Doctors Sent To Jail In Failed Trust Scheme to Avoid Taxes
The IRS is winning criminal convictions and sending taxpayers to jail for using fraudulent trust vehicles, domestic and foreign, to avoid paying taxes.
Recently, three doctors were sentenced to 18 months to 27 months in prison, and ordered to pay restitution, fines and other assessments, after they attempted to route income through bank accounts in the names of domestic and foreign trusts in order to conceal it.
